Evidence of eligibility

IMPORTANT: Following Public Health guidance, do not visit our office location to provide your evidence. Please upload all evidence via your online Housing Application and email housingoptions@bradford.gov.uk once you have done this.

To evidence that you are eligible to join the housing register, you will need to provide the evidence in the table below for scanning at one of our office locations. Click here to see our office locations and opening hours. 

    Nationality

  Evidence Accepted

    British or Irish

  • Passport

OR

  • Birth Certificate

OR

  • UK Drivers Licence

    EEA

  • Passport

OR

  • Birth Certificate

OR

  • Drivers Licence

OR

  • National Identity Card

 

PLUS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Payslips for the last 2 months or 8 weeks (if paid weekly or 4 weekly)

OR

  • Most recent tax years self-employed accounts or HMRC self-assessment

OR

  • Benefits award letter/Universal credit print out AND evidence of employment within the last 6 months

OR

  • Evidence of employment history for 5 years (payslips, P45, P60, HMRC self-assessment, self-employed accounts, employment contracts)

OR

  • Permanent Residence card

OR

  • Evidence of settled status using share code

OR

  • Indefinite Leave to Remain Card (also known as no time limit card)

 

    Non EEA

  • Passport (must show visa requirements)

OR

  • Home Office letter confirming status

OR

  • Biometric Residence Card
