My household is overcrowded by 2 rooms

IMPORTANT: Following Public Health guidance, do not visit our office location to provide your evidence. Please upload all evidence via your online Housing Application and email housingoptions@bradford.gov.uk once you have done this.

To qualify for this band, you will need to provide all of the evidence listed below for scanning at one of our office locations. We are unable to accept incomplete documentation and you will be asked to return once you have obtained all of the evidence.

1. Evidence of eligibility for all household members in your current property. Click here to see a list of acceptable documentation.

2. Evidence of local connection. Click here to see a list of acceptable documentation.

3. Names and DOB for all household members in your current property

4. Proof of residency for each household member in your current property from one or more of the following sources (evidence must clearly show the household member registered at that address):

  • Bank statement (dated within the last 6 months)
  • Benefit award letter (dated within the last 6 months)
  • NHS letter (dated within the last 6 months)
  • Utility or other bill (dated within the last 6 months)
  • Council Tax bill for the current financial year
  • Child Tax Credit letter (dated within the last 12 months)
  • Child Benefit letter (dated within the last 12 months)
  • Letter from school/college/university (dated within the last 12 months

5. Evidence of number of bedrooms in existing property from one or more of the following:

  • tenancy agreement
  • letter from landlord
